Public Health urging you to know the signs of hypothermia and frostbite – PTBO Today

With temperatures getting as low as -31 last night, Peterborough Public Health wants you to make sure you’re always keeping yourself as safe as possible.
Spokesperson Brittany Cadence says exposed skin can freeze quickly when it’s this cold.
She says knowing the signs of hypothermia is important.
Yesterday, Peterborough Public Health issued its second frostbite warning of the winter season. Symptoms of frostbite include: white/greyish skin area, skin that feels unusually firm or waxy, or numbness.
