Warm Heart and Warm Toes When You Give to SPC – St. Petersburg College News

November 8, 2021 by St. Petersburg College
Let’s get radical this November! November 30 is #GivingTuesday, a day of radical global generosity, and it is the a perfect opportunity to support your community by donating to the St. Petersburg College Foundation any time this month.
“The SPC Giving day on #GivingTuesday is a great way to show you support and believe in the mission of St. Petersburg College, said Jesse Turtle, Executive Director of SPC’s Foundation. “We are the community’s college, so we are your college.”
To amplify your generosity, an anonymous SPC alum has pledged to donate $30,000 when the college receives 200 donations. And as thanks for your support of $50 or more, the St. Petersburg College Foundation will send you a pair of exclusive SPC socks while supplies last.
All donations raise critical funds for the SPC Titan Fund, which helps sustain academic programs, scholarships, innovative programming, student support services and every other aspect of the college. This means that each generous gift has the power to transform the lives of our students, helping them to realize and achieve academic success and economic mobility.
“The SPC Titan Fund is the lifeblood of the College,” Turtle said. “It removes barriers for students like application fees, book costs and tuition, it creates opportunities for engagement with employers and it empowers faculty and staff to teach and mentor.”
Given that SPC alumni currently employed in Pinellas County contribute more than $950 million in added income to the county, each gift to SPC not only benefits students, it will also benefit the entire community.
Your tax-deductible gift ensures that present and future Titans have the resources they need to become the next generation of leaders within our community. Please join us in changing lives through education by making a gift of any amount.
“The collective power of all gifts, no matter the size, makes a huge difference for our SPC students,” Turtle said. “Focusing on participation instead of the amount means everyone is contributing to SPC’s mission of educating, empowering and engaging students to create a better community.”
To participate in SPC’s #GivingTuesday, donate here. Together, we can fulfill dreams and make a radical difference!
